“Trusting us with the vision and dreams for a new home is a responsibility we never take lightly. It meant that a strong relationship was forged between us in order to be the most creative, responsive, and successful we could be on the project. The Brief
Our client was looking for a transformative renovation at the cutting edge of contemporary high-end luxury. Opulence was a key word within the brief. They wanted to bring a sense of grandeur throughout the property with an abundance of remarkable and functional features.
To create a harmonious living experience, all of the chosen materials had to be practical, sustainable and work in concert with the desired aesthetic. Particular attention was dedicated to the renovation of three bathrooms and the creation of a magnificent kitchen area.
The Project
Our initial approach was to interrogate the brief from the point of view of the client. To do so, we were committed to taking the time to understand their aspirations for the project and the experience they wanted to create within their new home.
Concept will always be the driving force in the primary stages of renovations such as these. Although we are seasoned and experienced in achieving the results, it’s essential that we allow the client’s vision to be the leading hand as we discuss, plan, and execute the work itself.
Pure opulent luxury was the theme we returned to and set out to develop for the home. This idea informed the initial designs and extended to the choices of fixtures, fittings, and materials that we used. There was a responsibility to carry the theme throughout all the new spaces, so we worked closely with the client to ensure each choice was the perfect fit.
Once we were confident that every detail was locked in and agreed on, we moved on to the renovation strategy. We provided the client with a comprehensive project file so they were fully informed on the schedule of works at every step of the way. This encouraged the client to put complete trust and faith in us to deliver their vision for their home. Working in this way optimises every part of the renovation. Through weekly site meetings and constant communication with the client, we were able to showcase the works, invite feedback, and avoid any potential obstacles or delays.
The Result
This is a breathtaking statement home that represents a bold and captivating luxury living experience. In just four months, this project was delivered with meticulous attention to detail. It is designed to astonish without a sense of being overwhelming.
Elegant, modern, and one of a kind, this is a truly transformative living experience.
Kitchen/Diner
The large kitchen island is the perfect entertainment hub for guests. Fully clad in Corian marble with invisible seams, creating a natural flow through the space. The canape ceiling also wonderfully reflects the heart of the room, with the added smart mood lighting that awakens in the evening whenever you enter the room.
Five Tom Dixon lava lights are spaced apart to create a magnificent and inviting sense of warmth for this part of the home. This is echoed by a backlit Corian panel with bespoke fretwork coated in gold.
The large-format (1800 x 800) polished crème marble top is connected to the bronze smoked mirrored splashback. And the functional aspects of the room are designed to offer more with a bank of four ovens and a gold Quooker hot tap to respond to every occasion.
A media wall and entertainment space with integrated TV ensures that modern features can exist comfortably within the grandeur of the design finishes.
Downstairs powder room
The powder room becomes a real talking point for visiting guests as the client entertains. Its bold black ceiling sets the tone for the large-format marbled tiles with bronze and gold accents.
The space houses a freestanding Artelinia designer basin. Again, function lives with finesse through fluted glass panels, storage space, a neat wall mounted toilet, and a unique Gessie wall-mounted tap.
Bathroom 1
Our client opted for full Gessie brassware in this room with brushed gold fittings for the shower, a wall-mounted tap and flush plate. Eye-catching heavy white marble-effect tiles hold the space together with subtle grey and gold undertones running through them.
An LED-backlit mirror offers stunning lighting that is once again reflected in other areas, noticeably the LED-lit recess within the wet room shower.
This is an enviable and sophisticated environment with applied thought added to every detail, seen and unseen.
Bathroom 2
The larger bathroom responds to the abundance of space with a serene and welcoming atmosphere. Italian porcelain marble tiles frame a luxury 1800 x 850 curved freestanding bath that simply cries out for long evening soaks. Full Gessie polished bronze brassware and two swan neck basin fillers become statement fittings to anchor the elegant design.
LED lighting also occupies architectural features such as the recess above the bath, allowing an ambience that can be suited to any mood.
This renovation resulted in a magnificent, cohesive, and elegant home that is aware of its function as a living space while delivering an unmistakable sense of opulence and majesty.
