Internal Finishing Contract
Our client had recently purchased a large 10,000 sq ft property across five floors in Lytham. It was their dream to reawaken this tired building that hadn’t been updated in twelve years and transform it into a high-end luxury home, boasting contemporary grandeur.
We were commissioned to renovate this spacious property from top to bottom, turning it into a cutting-edge, contemporary home like no other.
We met with the client a number of times to carefully run through the project scale, scope of work and better understand their vision. The design stage allowed us to discuss the style, colour schemes, features, textures and materials. We looked at moodboards, examples and discussed what our client wanted from their new home.
Once we were confident that we understood what our client wanted, we went away and brought these ideas to life, and more. We created a detailed visual that allowed our client to envision what their new home could look like, going beyond traditional thinking. After the design was signed off, we focussed on the unique finishes, floor colours and wall colours, selecting and sourcing premium products and materials from our trusted partners and suppliers.
A project of this scale doesn’t come without its problems. At Ellis, we thrive on challenges – making the impossible possible. Once we started the construction work, we uncovered some unexpected and complicated installation issues, but we managed to swiftly deal with them without impacting our schedule. As we were working across five floors, we also brought in more manpower to more easily move fixtures and fittings across them all.
This striking new home is exceptional in every way – steeped in character, intelligently designed and customised to our client’s tastes and lifestyle. The open-plan design creates an idyllic environment for entertaining, relaxing and bringing the family together.
There is a gym, a cinema, a laundry room, and six luxury en-suite bathrooms. The master suite is fitted with a bedroom, his and her dressing rooms, an evening suite and a large luxury bathroom. The guest suite on the top floor is also equipped with a sumptuous lounge, walk-in wardrobe and an elegant bathroom fitted with a free-standing bath overlooking Lytham’s seafront.
The luxury dining room on the first floor is punctuated with a beautiful walnut table, and a crystal chandelier? The large format tiled feature wall is fitted with a high-quality butterfly effect porcelain material and the LED lighting washes the walls on either side.
The spacious kitchen is dressed with a symphony of textures and materials – every detail is executed to perfection. The large format tile slab work creates a greater sense of spaciousness, offering an elegant and contemporary finish.
